TikTok’s Contribution to Black Business Month, 2022

New: Making its contributions to the #BlackBusinessMonth, TikTok has announced that they have started accepting applications for the 3rd round of their Support Black Businesses Accelerator Program.

The company recently made the announcement. With this program, they aim to encourage Black-owned Businesses on TikTok through exclusive access to resources, benefits, and networking opportunities.

For those who are unaware, August is celebrated as Black Business Month, to acknowledge and appreciate black-owned businesses across the nation and all that they represent in the country’s continual striving for diversity and equality.

The National Black Business Month was founded by Historian John William Templeton and engineer Frederick E. Jordan Sr in August 2004 to “drive the policy agenda affecting the 2.6 million African-American businesses.

This program was initially launched in by TikTok in 2020 to provide the tools and resources to help Black businesses, creators, and entrepreneurs achieve success.

According to TikTok,

“The support Black Business Accelerator Program aims to put light on the creativity, innovation, and real impact that Black-owned businesses have on the TikTok community and their local community.”

The program will begin on September 12 and the benefits include –

1. Custom 4-week virtual training to accelerate your business on TikTok

2. Free ad credits toward your campaigns

3. Coaching from TikTok advisors and small business creators

4. Inspiring speaker events

5. Peer networking and community support

6. Promotional opportunities for TikTok to feature your business

7. Exclusive TikTok swag and more

TikTok has also stated that throughout the month of August they will celebrate the amazing work done by Black-owned businesses with #BlackOwnedBusiness

A great support initiative to support and uplift the Black excellence of entrepreneurs, innovators, and small business owners nationwide. It will contribute to create entrepreneurial opportunities.
