You can now share Instagram Posts, Reels and Location via QR Codes.

Did you notice the ‘QR Code’ Option now available for your individual Instagram Posts?

Well, that little scanner is there to stay! Instgram has rolled out this new feature that will allow you to share posts, reels, tags and location via ‘QR Codes’.

Very easy to operate! Simply select the 3-dot menu from any post, reel or location and tap on the ‘QR Code’ Option. Then you may save that image to your camera roll to share across.

Other than that, you can also create ‘QR Codes’ for your browser. All you have to do is, append ‘/qr’ to the URL.

With access to this feature, creators will be able to view what their audience mostly taps into. So, they can track their viewing habits and the latest trends.

According to TechCrunch, Meta stated that –

“To make it easier for people and businesses to share specific content, we recently launched the ability to create QR codes for profiles, tags, locations, reels and more.”

If we talk about the benefits, then of course it can be used by music artists to give a sneak peek of their upcoming songs, artists and creators to share and sell their work, for actors to share a teaser of their latest shows.

Other than that, we all know how users are now relying upon apps like Instagram and TikTok when they need recommendations to go eat at a place. So, restaurant owners have an amazing opportunity to put these out there for people to view images, new dishes, special offers that they keep bringing in.

All in all, this is an addition that marketers are going to leverage. However, the success of it is yet hard to predict.
